Being a beauty product junkie I'm continually looking for the "best" products.
When we first launched Principessa we had a list of beauty staples that were
tops on our list create. Lip Balm was one of the items on that list and I have
to say I think we nailed this one. Our Bacio Me (that's Kiss Me in Italian) is
the best lip balm on the market in my opinion. Okay, I know that I'm completely
biased but I'm also the pickiest person on the planet and I drove our chemist
crazy with this item as it was imperative that it be perfect!
I learned something interesting in the process as well. Making Beauty Products
is similar to Baking. You can have all the greatest ingredients but if you don't
put them together and mix and add them in exactly the right way the product
can be drastically different. I'm thrilled to say that our Bacio Me is exactly what
we would envision in a dream lip balm. It's super moisturizing, protective and
healing without being greasy or sticky.
As with all of our products it contains no petroleum products, lanolin etc. and is
chockfull of all the ingredients your skin craves such as Vitamin E, Jojoba, Shea
butter etc. Our original version in the tin is the richest and most reparative
whereas our latest version in the tube is a little lighter due to the fact we had to
change the consistently slightly so it could squeeze out and the original formula
was too thick to do so.
Bacio Me was put to the test one day when I had quite dry chapped lips and
couldn't find any of my lip balms around the house or in my purse. I now keep
them everywhere including my car. Anyway, I thought I would try some of the
other brands on the market that are supposed to be quite good and while some
were nice none relieved my dry lips. I finally found my trusty lip balm and it
relieved my lips instantly and long term. It was such a great test and if anyone
out there has tried this we would love to hear from them as well.
One of our favourite parts of the job is getting e-mails or phone calls from our
customers and we know there is a lot of people that feel the same way we
do. Recently when we attended a Golden Globe Party where our products were
featured in the goody bags, we met Lindsay Lohan and she told us how
much she loved our lip balm as well. She scooped up several of them. Then,
Kathy Hilton came up to us and exclaimed "Oh, I love your products and I always
have your Bacio Me in my purse." We were thrilled that of all the products
Kathy Hilton could have in her Birkin Bag she would choose our lip balm to be
an essential item in it.
