3 Beauty Products, 7 Days Worth of Makeup Looks

When you travel, minimalism can quickly become your best friend. While you may want to stash every product you own (and trust me, I’ve been there) into your suitcase, the tango dance with the TSA and airlines makes the extra load not really worth it. We interviewed The Body Shop’s International Makeup Artist and Spokesperson Chase Aston to find out if it was possible to create seven gorgeous eye looks with three products.
What You Need:
  1. An eye palette like The Body Shop 4 Step Smoky Eye Palette #2 in Golden Brown (limited edition) that contains three neutral shades and a golden highlighter.
  2. A lip/cheek stain that complements your skin tone. We like: Benefit Cosmetics' Cha Cha Tint.
  3. A lipstain marker like M.A.C. Cosmetics Pro Longwear in Runway Ripened.
Day 1: A Simple, Sheer Look
Use the golden highlighter from the palette, and apply it using a brush from the lash line to brow bone, for a modern yet simple, sheer gold-toned eye.
Day 2: A Multi-Toned, Textured and Defined Eye
Apply a warm white shade all over lids, from lash line to brows.  Then take a chocolate brown shadow, and apply from lash line to brow bone, and underneath lower lashes. Next, take the dark brown shadow and smudge it along the top and bottom lash lines, into the crease of the eye, and just past the outer corners of the eyes. Then take the golden highlighter and apply to the inner corners of the eyes. Finally, along the inner rim (waterline) of lower eyelid with an eye-definer pencil or the darkest shadow shade in your palette.
Day 3: A Two-Toned Textured Eye and Bold Lip
Smooth a warm white shadow from the lash line to brow. Then apply the golden highlighter from lash line to the crease of the eye and underneath lower lashes for a two-toned textured eye look. Pair this simple yet effective eye makeup with a dark, deep lipstain for a more dramatic effect.
Day 4: Smoky Under Eye and Strong Lip
Take the golden highlighter and smooth all over lids from lash line to brow and underneath lower lashes. Then take a chocolate brown shade and apply it from lash line to crease and underneath lower lashes. Now take the dark brown shadow and smudge it along lower lashes, for a smoky under eye effect. Pair the look with a stronger lip.
Day 5: A Gentle Smoky, Sculpted Eye
Smooth a warm white shadow all over lids, then take a chocolate brown hue and apply from lash line to brow bone, and underneath lower lashes. You can also shape, shade and define brows using the same brown shadow. Then take the golden highlighter and apply it onto the inner corners of the eyes and along the brow-bone. Use a trace of blush on cheekbones to complete the look.  Day 6: A Dark, Dramatic Eye
Apply a dark brown shadow all over the top lid (from lash line to brows, along brow bone, and underneath lower lashes). Now take the warm white and apply along brow bone and under arch of the brow. Then use the chocolate brown color to shape, shade and define brows. Finally, take the golden highlighter to lightly brush through brows for a two toned effect.
Day 7:  An Overall Bold, Glamorous Look
Swipe a warm white shade from lash line to just above the brow-bone. Then take the chocolate brown and smooth from lash line to crease of the eye, drawing the shadow just past the outer corners of the eyes. Smooth the golden highlighter along top and bottom lash lines. Finally, take the dark brown and smudge it around the top and bottom outer corners of the eyes. Finish the look with a strong lip.
