3 Must-Try (This Week!) Holiday Party Looks

Whether it’s eggnog with cubemates or toasting the ball drop with your beau, tis the season… to amp up your beauty look! There are no excuses when the weather gets cold. Simply follow the below steps for three super easy—but HOT—party looks.
The occasion: Office Holiday Party The look: Retro Glam The focus: Perfect Red Lip

  • To create a flawless complexion, start with a medium coverage, luminous foundation. We love Armani Luminous Silk (seriously, who doesn’t?!).
  • For a flush of color, pop the apples of the cheek with a coral blush like MAC Melba. Mix in some MAC Dainty for added luminosity.
  • Using the same blush brush, gently sweep the forehead, nose and chin with the remaining color for all-over glow.
  • Next dust a flesh-tone neutral eye shadow over lids.
  • Dip an eyeliner brush in Wet N Wild Mega Eyes Crème Eyeliner in Black and run it along the top lashline building intensity from the inner corner and extending beyond the outer corner for a slight cat-eye effect.
  • Gently run a black eyeshadow like MAC Carbon just below lower lashes for a sultry look.
  • Coat lashes in mascara. (Lots of it.)
  • Create the perfect lip shape by lining and then filling in with a classic red lip pencil. Nars Jungle Red works on everyone.
  • Layer lip color over the liner using a lip brush for precision. MAKE UP FOR EVER’s #42 is the perfect seasonal red!
The occasion: Kissing Under the Mistletoe The look: Gorgeous Glow The focus: Sparkly Eye

  • Add radiance to skin with Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Luminous Liquid Bronzer. Apply it to the outside of the face and blend inwards for a subtle and effortless contouring effect.
  • Highlight the bridge of the nose, cheekbones and cupid’s bow of the lip with Benefit Moon Beam.
  • Sweep a reflective champagne loose shadow like MAC Vanilla over the full eyelid.
  • Rim the lashline with a shot of shimmery electric blue. We used NYX Slide On Pencil in Sunrise Blue, blending it out on top and bottom to enhance the eye shape and as a base for glitter.
  • Pick your perfect blue from the ultra-fun NYX Glitterati Glitter Cream Palette. Press glitter onto the lids between lashline and crease. Remove any excess or fallout with strip of tape (it will be minimal since this glitter is a cream, not loose, formula).
  • Finish eyes with several coats of mascara. For volume or length… or both, try MAC’s Haute & Naughty mascara with a double-brush.

The occasion: Ringing In the New Year The look: Pretty Powerful The focus: Doe Eye

  • Create an even canvas with Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Foundation.
  • For a pink punch, swirl on NYX HD Studio Photogenic Grinding Blush in English Rose.
  • Using a finger, pat on MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Cream in #1–a killer gunmetal shade—from lashline to crease on top and just under lashes on bottom starting from the outer corner and blending just past mid-way to the inner corner. Use a clean finger to blend edges.
  • Brighten the inner corners with a highly metallic silver shadow. We used MAC Pigments in Silver and blended outward slightly over the gunmetal.
  • For full fringe, pump up the volume on lashes with Lancome Hypnose Doll Lashes Mascara. Apply to top and bottom in a back-and-forth wiggle motion to deposit color on every single lash from outer to inner corner.
  • Line and fill in lips with MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in In Anticipation. Coat over pencil with a fiery fuchsia like Victoria’s Secret Perfect Lipstick in Hot Spot.
