Aimee Blaut’s Postcard From Paris
The haute couture shows always fly by fast. There is so much to do in so little time. Here are a few highlights from my pretty Paris adventures during the fall 2012 presentations!
I started off the week with a shoot for my blog at the amazing home of Glamour Paris’s beauty editor, Sabine Maida. Looking through all of her products was like heaven.
Afterward I took a cab to the Ulyana Sergeenko show at Théâtre Marigny, where I spotted a gorgeous lady in white, wearing nothing but MAC foundation on her face.
Everyone at the show was stunning and how could I resist shooting this pretty bouquet of roses?
Afterward I headed to Pierre Hermé Paris for some patisseries.
Later in the week I shot the Elie Saab show. Backstage extensions were added to the models’ hair and fastened into plaited updos.
The makeup—strong black eyeliner and a nude lip with a palate of brown and beige—was simple and elegant.
Karlie Kloss kicked off the show and other notables such as Josephine Shriver, Sui He and Ruby Aldridge glided down the runway in Saab’s breathtaking gowns.
After the show I took a stroll across the Seine to the Rive Gauche, where I saw some friends for a chocolat chaud at Café de Flore.
As my week came to a close I met up with Prisca Courtin-Clarins for a shoot at her trendy salon, Nail Factory, and left with a perfect manicure. All in all, it was a great ending to my week of beauty and fashion in Paris!
What are your favorite things to do while in Paris?
