Sparse and spindly or full and lush, there is no denying that eyelashes can make or break any beauty look.

Sadly most of us aren't blessed with long fringes, but that doesn't mean we're out of luck. From doe-eyes to bedroom-eyes, there is a fake lash out there for you. Here's how to apply them.

To start, decide which style you want to go with. After picking your pair, try them on to make sure the length fits—if not, trim them. For those who want a more subtle look, try individual or half lashes, which you can cater to your liking.

Once you have your eyelashes sized and contoured, loosen them up a bit by flexing the band. This will help you mold them to your lash line. Next, grab your lash glue and paint a thin line on the edge of the lash. Allow the paste to dry and become slightly tacky before you apply.

Here comes the tricky part: the application. First, curl your natural eyelashes to ensure your fringe lines up with your faux one. Then, using fingertips or tweezers, apply the fake set as close to your lash line as possible. I recommend starting with the center and contouring both the inner and outer corners to your natural lash line. If a particular piece is sticking out, simply re-apply your glue with the broken half of a Q-tip, and wait until it gets tacky before sticking it down again. Once you've fully applied, give them a minute to dry, and gently set into place with your fingertips.

To finish, apply a mascara of choice, brushing your natural eyelashes into the fake ones until you can't tell them apart. Use a liquid liner to hide the lash strip, and you are all set!

I have a friend who wears the individual lashes. ALL THE TIME. She will wear them for a week at a time without taking them off. She sleeps in them and everything. She said she has trained herself how to sleep to not mess them up. It’s SO weird to me! I’d like to try fakes sometime but I don’t want to look like she does! Ha!
