First we set out to conquer the cat eye. Now we want to master another sexy look: the defined eyelid crease. Backstage at Peter Som’s spring 2012 ready-to-wear show, makeup artist Tom Pecheux called this design a banana because of its curved shape. We have to agree; we’re absolutely bananas for it. Here are four steps to a perfectly defined eyelid crease.
- Step 1: Brush a light shimmer shadow on the entire eyelid, from lashes to brow bone.
- Step 2: Select a crease makeup brush with stiffer, shorter hairs. This allows you to concentrate the color on the crease, rather than diffuse it over the lid.
- Step 3: Use a matte, high-pigment eyeshadow for your crease color and load only the very tip of your brush with it. Drag—don’t dot—the color just above your natural eyelid crease. Otherwise the design won’t be visible when your eyes are open.
- Step 4: Dampen a cotton swab with makeup remover and clean up any jagged edges. After the cleaned areas have dried, go back in with your base color to further refine the look.

“Sometimes I contemplate if folks truly take time to publish something original, or are they only just dishing out words to fill a site. This surely doesn’t fit that mold. Thank you for taking the time to write with awareness. Now And Then I look at a page and question whether they even proofread it.Fantastic work with this article.”
