We’re Crushing on Maria Menounos

Shellacked hair, cakey makeup and a stiff smile are the beauty trademarks of many women newscasters. But journalist and television-presenter Maria Menounos always imparts a more glamorous vibe that hardly veers into pageant-groomed territory (despite being a beauty queen herself). Last week was no exception when we spotted her at the annual L’Oréal Next Generation Awards celebrating the most promising female entrepreneurs in digital technology. Menounos was understatedly sexy with simple yet elegant makeup and a bouncy blowout. Her flawless skin was kissed with a summery glow, and naturally smoked-out eyeliner detailed her eyes. Despite her fresh-faced appearance, she admitted to us that she is in fact a product junkie, always eager to experiment with makeup and try new looks. One thing, however, remains constant: L'Oréal Paris Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara. "[It’s] my go-to mascara and has been for years," she says. To complement her figure-flattering kelly green dress, Menounos wore powdery blue nail polish on her fingers and toes. All in all, her work-appropriate look coupled with such laissez-faire composure was a picture we’d like to see more often on the morning news.
