Everyone wants to know how to do a fishtail braid these days. Start with dry, freshly brushed hair. Pull it to the side and divide it into two sections. Apply finishing paste to add grip to the hair.

Start the braid by holding a half-inch section of hair from the outside of the right side of the head with your right hand. Then use your left hand to collect a half-inch section of hair from the outside of the left side of the head, and cross it over to the inside of the right section. Repeat the step on the other side: Hold the left section in your left hand. Use your right hand to pick up a half-inch section of hair from the outside of the right side of head and cross it over to the inside of the left section. Continue adding small sections and crossing them over until you reach the ends of your hair. Secure the braid with an elastic.

Pull on the sides of the braid to loosen it and set the look with hair spray.
