Beauty Products You MUST Pack for a Music Festival

It’s no secret. Music festival season is in full force, but before you head out for the heat, the tunes and the partying, you actually have to pack — strategically. Where’s mom when you need her, right? Because, the last place you want to be when you realize you forgot something essential is in the middle of the desert. Avoid the skin and hair struggle with this guide to the beauty products you HAVE to pack before heading off to your next festival … oh, and don’t forget the flower crown!

Hydrating Facial Spray: Many festival factors contribute to your dehydrated skin — the climate, $8 water bottles, adult beverages … you get the gist of it. That’s why a cooling facial spray like Shu Uemura Depsea Water Facial Mist in Mint is a must-have for fresh, glowing skin!

Oil Blotters:
And if oily skin is your concern, the NYX Blotting Paper sheets quickly absorb oil without taking up space in your bag!

Makeup Remover:
With no real way to cleanse your face, it’s important to pack a product that will make wiping off makeup easy. Just because you’re away from home doesn’t mean you can go to bed without washing your face! Micellar water like Vichy Pureté Thermale 3-in-1 Cleansing Solution can break down dirt, oil and even waterproof makeup without the need for water (or a sink!). Another option is makeup-removing wipes like L’Oréal Paris Ideal Clean All Skin Types Makeup Removing Towelettes.

Sun Protection:
You’re most likely out in the desert, or the middle of nowhere with sunrays beaming down on you like never before. The last thing you want to think of while having a good time is a painful sunburn that will have you looking like a lobster. Opt for a face and body SPF like La Roche-Posay Anthelios 30 to keep your skin sun-safe.

Eye De-Puffer:
This product speaks for itself. When sleeping in tents, or not sleeping at all, your eye bags will need some serious help from a de-puffing treatment. The Body Shop Pomegranate Firming & Refreshing Eye Roll-On is small enough to fit in your travel bag and keep you bright-eyed and dark-circle free.

Deodorant:
Again, you’re sleeping in a tent for the weekend and most likely dancing non-stop without a real shower in sight. Do yourself (and those around you) a favor and be sure to pack your deodorant! We love Kiehl’s Superbly Efficient Anti-Perspirant and Deodorant.

Texturizing Powder:
Not only is the Shu Uemura Volume Maker ideal for travel, but it will give your festival locks tons of volume, texture and even refresh your roots for hair that can survive the weekend — sans shampoo!

Waterproof Mascara:
Because if there’s one thing you really want to keep from melting, it’s your mascara. Try Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara for long, luscious lashes that won’t end up streaking down your cheeks!

Bronzing Powder:
You may be out in the sun, but faking a luminous glow is still a MUST. We love the Lancôme Star Bronzer All Over Magic Bronzing Brush because it automatically releases powder onto the brush for a touch of shimmer you can use from head-to-toe  — and it’s perfect for all skin tones!
