 BILLY JEALOUSY BEHIND THE BRAND
Shaving was always a dreaded chore to me. All through college and grad school, I remember looking at my bottle of shave foam with despair, knowing that its contents along with a razor would soon unite uncomfortably over my face. Back in 1995 I finally tried a more expensive but better quality shave cream from a department store. While shaving with this new product, I instantly could feel greater lubrication allowing for my razor to literally glide over my face. The nicks, ingrown hairs and razor bumps were greatly diminished. I was hooked. I soon tried other skin care products (after-shave balms, moisturizers, eye creams, etc.) from multiple brands all the while gathering things I liked and didn't like from each brand. I could immediately tell the difference my new skin care regimen was making on my skin which directly lead to greater self-confidence.
In 2003 I walked into a men's apothecary in Dallas called Regimens and saw for the first time a store dedicated to selling high-quality male grooming products. Inspired by this concept, I decided to launch a line myself. Going through 300 names, we finally chose Billy Jealousy, an unforgettable name given to us by our friend, marketing genius Peter Benanti of Tractorbeam. We now have over 20 products in our roster and have won five magazine awards in under three years. I hope you enjoy using our products as much as I've enjoyed creating both them and the brand Billy Jealousy.
