Viktor & Rolf, fashion’s avant-garde Dutch darlings, teamed up with Shu Uemura’s Tokyo Lash Bar 2008 for its “Couture Collection”, with the bespectacled designers coming up with three sets of luxurious falsies made for bold catwalk, drag and drama queens.
The first set — called False Eyelashes Wing Couture — are handmade in graduated layers, to elicit the airiness of wings. The second set — dubbed False Eyelashes Swirl Couture — are looped at the ends for a more playful feel. The final set — also known as False Eyelashes Rhombus Couture — is brown instead of black, with flashy gold rhombus pieces attached that serve, for lack of better description, as grills for your lashes.
These are best used for those nights out when DiorShow mascara just won’t do.
