What happens during winter?
Let’s see: Christmas, busy travel schedules to visit the folks and old friends, last-minute shopping for presents, chapped lips, frizzy hair, increasing levels of sugar consumption (ginger molasses cookies with cream cheese filling are were my nemesis during Holiday ‘08), massive ingestion of alcoholic beverages (rum and eggnog, yikes!) and dry skin.
The last thing you want before Christmas dinner is a scaly dermis, take my advice: Buy a bottle of Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant.
This rice-based powder dissolves on contact with water, creating a paste that you then rub all over your face. The rice enzymes, salicylic acid and papain properties work to micro-exfoliate the skin, meaning it’s so gentle you could probably use it on a baby. Grapefruit and licorice even out pigmentation, while green tea ad gingko calm things down.
While there is slight satisfaction from the abrasion of an exfoliator such as St. Ive’s Apricot version, there is no way you can use it on a daily basis. With Dermalogica, you definitely can.
Excuse me while I go scrub my face now.
