Hands down, the best cartoons were born out of the 80s: Tom & Jerry, Care Bears, My Little Pony, She-Ra: Princess of Power, Jem & The Holograms, Strawberry Shortcake, G.I. Joe and The Smurfs.
People are irresistibly drawn to the cartoon world because it brings them back to happy, shiny childhood moments — trust me, I still know all the words to the Jem & The Holograms theme song.
Jerrod Blandino, co-owner for Too Faced Cosmetics, apparently woke up very early one morning wondering, “What the hell happened to Smurfette?” and decided to pay homage to the pretty blue Smurf with blonde hair who was the only girl in town.
Out of Blandino’s makeup homage is a five-item collection for the eyes, lips and face, including liquid eyeliners in blue and white, quad eye shadow set in dark lavender, blue, taupe and pink, jojoba-infused lip gloss and face powder illuminator, stamped in Smurf images.
I just can’t guarantee it’s all Papa Smurf-approved.
