Ah, avocados. So great in guacamole and California rolls, but even better for the face!
This fruit, a native of South America, is full of goods fats and 25 essential nutrients (including Vitamins E and B) as well as moisturizing properties, which is why its oil is often found in beauty products like shampoos, conditioners and masks.
Avocado masks are easy to make at home, as long as you have honey, yogurt, egg yolk and olive oil in the pantry. Below, you’ll find homemade recipes for two types of avocado masks: one for the hair and one for the face.
Hair
1. Mix one mashed avocado with one egg yolk and one tablespoon of olive oil. Make sure all the ingredients are blended evenly.
2. Wet hair with warm water, massaging the scalp to stimulate blood flow.
3. Apply avocado mask from root to tip for dry to normal hair. Apply avocado mask from halfway down for oily hair and scalps.
4. Cover head with a showercap.
5. Allow mask to sit for 20 minutes — if you can sit under a dryer, this would be ideal.
6. Rinse mask out completely after 20 minutes.
7. Shampoo and condition as normal.
Face
1. Mash one avocado evenly in a bowl.
2. Add one tablespoon of honey (all-natural, if possible) and mix in. Honey is a great anti-inflammatory.
3. Stir in one tablespoon of natural yogurt. This is fantastic for anti-bacterial purposes, as well as for pore refinement.
4. Wash face with warm water, pat dry and apply avocado mask.
5. Let the mask sit for 15 minutes.
6. Rinse off mask with warm water and pat dry.
And if you have an extra avocado at the end of it all, the only thing left to do is break out the lemon juice, salsa and tortilla chips!

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
