Grey has grown in dominance in fashion for the past year, re-establishing itself as a staple color to have in the closet (trust me, the shade has taken over a good portion of mine).
For Fall ‘09, it made a reappearance on the runway, this time as a beauty trend on eyes and lips, with designers like Doo.Ri and top makeup artists like Dick Page using the hue — and with editors trumpeting gray as the new black.
It might seem an odd choice for using on puckers, but done well, it can look tres chic — and it can be easily achieved by blending any black lipstick you own from last season with a white or a concealer.
Just don’t do grey from head-to-toe-to-makeup.
Sure, the economic times are rather gloomy so there’s no sense in making it any worse.
I really never ever thought about wearing grey on my lips, but now you have pointed it out I think it could look really nice! Think I am going to have to give it a try!
