Lip gloss colors change with every season, just as palettes do with every new haute couture, ready-to-wear and resort collection presented at a Fashion Week.
Black is always a must for apparel — and apparently it’s now in for lip gloss, too.
Lancome is releasing a black lip gloss for the winter season. Yes, folks, black is the new black. Before you shun this lip shade from your makeup bag, hear out Aaron de Mey, Lancome’s new artistic director, who advises using it to add depth and sheen to another color.
It comes out in November at Bloomingdale’s NYC in a limited-edition set ($48) along with a Color Fever Lipstick in Piha Red (think the soles of Christian Louboutin heels, which inspired its hue).
