Raspberry — as in the color and fruit — is on trend right now.
Both Julianne Moore and Brooke Shields wore the bright shade, respectively, on the red carpet recently at a film premiere and the Emmys. Then there’s the fact that the raspberry-strawberry Original is one of the most requested flavors at Fro-Yo emporium, Pinkberry.
Since the vitamin C and B-packed baby is finally getting its moment in the spotlight, let’s investigate a few beauty products harboring this fruit.
Jaqua Raspberry Buttercream Frosting. This body cream is so sinfully silky and delicious smelling, I have to keep from licking my arm.
Giovanni Organic Care Raspberry Winter Cleanse Body Wash. It’s organic (made from renewable plants, actually) and it gets your dermis squeaky clean. Sold.
Bath & Body Works Sun-Ripened Raspberry Body Spray. A spray like this one is made for those days where spritzing on Gucci Rush or Bond No. 9 Silver Factory seems a wee bit much for running errands at Costco.
Philosophy Raspberry Sorbet Ultra Rich 3-in-1 Shampoo, Body Wash and Bubble Bath. Um, need I say more? Time is money, after all!
Laura Geller Raspberry Truffle Face Frosting Blush. The pink-brown tone fits fair, olive, yellow and brown complexions easily, plus one application of this long-lasting blush and you’re good to go from nine to five. Or later.
Burt’s Bees Raspberry Lip Gloss. Grapeseed oil, coconut oil, beeswax, cocoa butter and natural raspberry flavor are mixed together in this organic concoction. Unfortunately, your local drugstore might not have it because the product was discontinued, but it’s worth scouring online for sources. There are plenty of them, too.
Hmmmm. A raspberry gelato sounds good right about now.
Jaqua makes fabulous products. I have and absolutely adore their chocolate buttercream frosting body butter. I would definitely be interested in trying the raspberry scent. I think raspberries are fun and a happy scent to elevate the mood.
That Philosophy 3-in-1 sounds amazing! I’ve always wanted to take the plunge and try one, and I’m thinking I’ll go for this one. I love raspberry.
I thought Brooke Shields looked amazing in her raspberry colored dress at the Emmys.
