Brad Pitt is lending his philanthropic magic and environmental-consciousness to Kiehl’s Since 1851, makers of that fabulous wrinkle-busting Abyssine Cream and luscious, SPF-deflecting Lip Balm #1.
The handsome actor and father-of-six is lending his name to the Kiehl’s Aloe Vera Biodegradable Liquid Body Cleanser, which hits shelves this coming October and is eco-friendly from the cleanser itself to the packaging. All proceeds from sales of the product go toward JPF Eco Systems, a charity started by Pitt and Kiehl’s as a joint venture to “minimize impact on the environment through thoughtful design”.
Also benefiting from this partnership is Pitt’s other organization, the Make It Right foundation, which helps build eco-friendly housing for those displaced by Hurricane Katrina. The first set of funds raised by the Pitt-Keihl’s initiative will go toward the Make It Right foundation.
Though Pitt won’t be lending his pretty mug for the product design or advertising, his handwriting appears on the bottle.
And that, my friends, is good enough for me.
