Paul Starr, celebrated makeup artist to the A-list set, was found dead at 48-years-old on Tuesday at his apartment in Los Angeles.
Concern for his well-being hit a high when Starr hadn’t been seen or heard from in several days. His body was discovered after the front door was broken down. The cause of death is still unknown.
Starr not only was makeup artist for the likes of Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba, Madonna, Bjork and Jennifer Garner, he also wrote the book Paul Starr On Beauty: Conversations With Thirty Celebrated Women, was the original beauty editor of cult favorite Flaunt magazine and created runway looks for Sass & Bide, Jean Paul Gaultier, Vivienne Westwood and Dolce & Gabbana.
