A few weeks ago, I posted that cosmetics company Uslu Airlines — founded by makeup artist Feride Uslu — was getting ready to collaborate with worldwide DJs (think Ed Banger and Rolleryboys) on a club-influenced range of nail polish.
Now comes word of Uslu Airlines’ second-round nail color collabo with German-born designer Bernard Willhelm, who is an industry favorite, having worked under iconic designers like Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood.
The Uslu Airlines x Bernard Willhelm line, based on common airport destinations and hues from Willhelm’s current collection, dropped at OAK in New York recently.
Here’s the color line up:
Gold metallic — KNO knokke/het zoute (Belgium)
Red metallic — JPD heliport de paris (france)
Blue metallic — GWW berlin royal air force gatow (germany)
White — KTT kittila (finland)
Beige — WAW warsaw frederic chopin (Poland)
Grey — SBT san bernadino airport (USA)
Unfortunately no LAX or JFK just yet, but the good word is more colors will be added every season (and thus, more airports!).
You might want to refrain from throwing a bottle in your bag before boarding a plane, though. The last thing you want is airport security throwing your gold metallic Uslu in the trash.
