Celine Cousteau, the 36-year-old granddaughter of famed oceanographer Jacques Cousteau, signed on last year to be ambassador for La Prairie’s Advanced Marine Biology Collection.
The product line, influenced by the lifestyle of Ms. Cousteau and full of fermented, sustainably-harvested algae extracts, relaunched at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills last week, and its marine muse turned up to give her blessing. For every product from the collection sold, one euro is donated to the Jacques Cousteau-founded Ocean Futures Society.
Prices range from $95 to $175, with a SPF 20 day cream and a Marine Biology Youth Protection Facial getting released next spring and fall, respectively.
Apparently algae ain’t cheap.
