Amanda Lepore, the one-time transsexual muse of former club kid label Heatherette, is striking out on her own without the help of Richie Rich or Traver Rains.
Just in time for happy Holiday ‘08, Lepore is launching a namesake fragrance called Amanda by Amanda Lepore with famed perfumer, Christophe Laudamiel. The scent is supposed to remind its wearer of the transsexual icon’s curves and signature red lips through strawberry, woods, yellow mandarin and — of course — Cristal champagne.
The limited-edition bottle is studded in Swarovski crystals, contains a booklet with new pictures by photographer Nico Iliev and comes with a blush-colored atomizer, so get thee quickly to Artware Editions for pre-order because only 5,000 being made for purchase.
Warning to her fans, however: Getting a piece of Amanda Lepore will set you back $950 a bottle.
