Sorry, Angelenos, I have some bad news today.
Fred Segal Beauty in Santa Monica, CA, is closing its doors after 16 years as a result of a lawsuit between its founders Michael Baruch and Paul DeArmas against Fred and Michael Segal.
According to Baruch, the Segals have reneged on plans to expand on Melrose Avenue and into the W Hotel in Las Vegas, as well as plans to develop a branded product line. Baruch and DeArmas sank nearly $5 million into development and research, only to hit a solid wall with the Segals.
Looks like SoCal beauty junkies will have to find their Nars, Juliette Has A Gun and Kerastase elsewhere.
