My girlfriend Shannon Heth — publicist extraordinaire (with the longest legs ever, might I add) — gave me a sample of Beaute’s Liqui-Gel Stain for Cheeks and Lips this weekend, developed by her New York-based good friend and star makeup artist, Beau Nelson.
This intensely pigmented, easily blendable fusion between liquid and gel allows you to put on a sheer wash of stain or a bold one, depending on your mood and destination. Orchid Extract OS (derived from Thai pink orchids) and Essential Rose Extract lock in moisture, act as anti-virals and moisturize all at once, in four bold and long-lasting colors: Neon (orange and the one I currently have), Flouron (shocking pink), Fever (deep red) and Harlot (sheer berry).
Shannon instructed me not to be afraid of the bright hue, reassuring me that I’d be able to control how it goes on the skin. She was right — I came home, tried the liqui-gel on my cheeks and fell in love with it in a heartbeat.
