I have been getting a good number of readers commenting that brown — the nail color of Fall ‘08 — just doesn’t work for them.
Don’t fret, my pets! It’s Chanel to the rescue.
The French fashion house’s limited-edition Kaleidoscope nail polish, from the Fall ‘08 collection, might be a slightly more expensive $20 per bottle, but it’s oh-so pretty. Kaleidoscope has a chameleon-like quality, starting off as a green-silver-gold combination, the metallic color morphs from silver pewter to a muted gold, depending on the light. It goes on in one coat and doesn’t chip easily, which means you need to touch up less and, therefore, make that $20 initial investment last.
Peter Philips, the global creative director of Chanel Makeup, was inspired by Coco Chanel’s apartment on Rue Chambon, so the rest of the collection is full of rich, lush gold and berry shades (Gold Fiction and Fantastic, respectively).
What are your thoughts on Chanel Kaleidoscope?

I would definitely be more interested in this color than the trendy brown nail polish.
