We are all on a quest for the perfect mascara. What may lengthen and enhance your best friend’s eye lashes does nothing for you. So what should you do?
When deciding how to apply eye makeup, first figure out what you want from a mascara. Do you hope for longer lashes or fuller lashes? Are you yearning for healthier lashes? Secondly, do you want a waterproof mascara or something that washes off easily? What color mascara would you choose?
If length is your only goal, find a mascara that promotes “lengthening and extending.” If you want fuller lashes only, choose mascara that amplifies or thickens.
If your lashes are sparse and damaged, you need a boost. Blinc Lash Primer conditions, nourishes, moisturizes and protects your eye lashes all before you apply mascara. Bonus: it will make your lashes look long and luxurious.
Does your mascara seem to smudge and smear as the day goes on? Apply a waterproof mascara that will not irritate sensitive eyes, but will also stay in place until you reach for the eye makeup remover.

Applying Mineral Makeup Foundation
Follow these simple steps to apply mineral makeup and create flawless looking skin.
* After washing your face, apply a gentle moisturizer. Allow the moisturizer to completely absorb into your skin before applying your mineral makeup.
* Pour a very small amount of mineral foundation powder into the container’s lid.
* Swirl your makeup brush into the powder and then tap the brush on the edge of the container to get rid of any excess.
* The key to the flawless finish of mineral makeup is light layers. Do not put too much powder on your brush.
* If you have an area that needs extra attention, use a smaller concealer brush and spot mineral powder onto the area.
* Begin applying mineral powder to your face near the jaw line and hair line. In a circular motion while pressing gently, buff the powder onto your face.
* Continue applying the powder working inward and finish with your nose last.
* Wait a few minutes and allow the mineral powder to seemingly disappear into your skin.
* Check your face and see if you need any extra coverage in any particular area and add more mineral makeup in the same fashion on the problem areas.
* When applying blush, bronzer and other mineral makeup, use very small amounts. Because the pigments are concentrated, a little goes a long way.
At Makeup.com, you can find different brands offering the best mineral makeup products available, including Alison Raffaele, Avanya and several others.

The Big Debate: Liquid Foundation vs. Powder Foundation
Are you a powder foundation fan or a liquid foundation fanatic? Or are you one of those women who use both hoping for extra coverage? Here’s a breakdown of each type of foundation and who it’s best for.
Liquid foundations tend to be more moisturizing than powder foundations. They also absorb into the skin instead of resting on top of it, which can give you a more natural skin finish. If you choose not to dust powder on top, liquid foundation will give your skin a dewy appearance. Liquid foundation is beneficial to women with dry skin or who want a natural look. For a great liquid foundation, try Lola Cosmetics Oil-Free Sheer Liquid Foundation because it will give you a polished no-makeup look.
Powder foundations are just what they say. They are a powder-based color that comes in either compact form or loose-powder form. Although compact powder foundations are not drying, they do tend to absorb excess oil from the skin. Powder foundation gives the skin a matte look and is a perfect choice for people who are looking for a flawless appearance. Powder foundation is also excellent for moist climates because it will soak up excess shine from humidity in the air. A great powder foundation to use is Paula Dorf Perfect Glo Foundation because it is weightless on the skin.
For those of you wanting the best of both worlds, there are also wet/dry or cream to powder foundations. These types of foundations are perfect if you vary between the choices. You are able to use the dry like you would any other compact powder foundation and you can add water to the sponge to make it a cream or liquid instead.

Shaving Kits
For optimal shaving results, you can purchase a convenient shaving kit. Shaving kits include pre-shave oil, men’s shaving cream, a men’s shaving brush and after shave.
Some of the best shaving kits on the market today are from The Art of Shaving, Billy Jealousy and Anthony Logistics. By using a shaving kit, not only will you get a clean shave, but also prevent and relieve shaving problems, such as ingrown hairs, razor burn and tough beards.
Choose a shaving kit that is geared toward your specific type of skin. You can purchase shaving kits featuring products formulated for sensitive, normal, dry or oily skin.
Tips to Avoid Razor Bumps
The biggest problem that men have when shaving is razor bumps. Pseudofolliculitis barbae is the medical term for razor bumps, which are an inflammatory reaction surrounding ingrown hairs that result from shaving.
There are several things you can do to try to avoid getting irritating razor bumps.
* Use a facial scrub before you begin shaving. The scrub will help raise any hairs that are slightly under the skin and prevent them from growing back into the skin.
* Shave in the shower or right after getting out of the shower. The hot water will expand your skin, open your pores and make shaving easier. If you are not taking a shower, press a very warm, wet towel against the skin for two to five minutes before starting to shave.
* Always use a lubricant when shaving. Never try to shave dry.
* Use a sharp blade. Discard shaving blades after five uses.
* Shave in long downward strokes in the direction your beard grows. Reapply lubricant if you need to repeat strokes in the same area.
* Use product geared toward soothing razor bumps after shaving. These men’s shaving products calm irriation with anti-inflammatory ingredients, such as aloe vera. Do not use any product containing alcohol or menthol.
* Shave every other day, if possible. Daily shaving can irritate your skin.
