How to Get Rid of Razor Bumps
If you find yourself with razor bumps, you will need to use some products to sooth and speed the healing of your skin. Razor bumps occur when curly hairs grow back into the skin causing inflammation and irritation. Over time, this can eventually cause scarring. So it’s best to avoid getting razor bumps and treat them quickly.
The most effective treatment is just to let your beard grow. Once your hairs are a certain length, they won’t grow back into the skin. However, not every man wants to grow out their beard. Therefore, follow these mens shaving tips in order to relieve irritation and help your razor bumps heal.
* To treat razor bumps, wash your beard twice a day with an anti-bacterial face soap, using a sponge or cloth to exfoliate the skin. This will raise the hairs from underneath the skin.
* Until your skin heals, use an electric shaver.
* If you must use a blade, do not pull your skin tight and only use a single blade razor.
* Wash your face with a facial scrub before shaving.
* Shave while in the shower if possible.
* Use a toner and moisturizer after shaving.
* Use an antibotic cream or product containing Retin-A on the infected areas each night before sleeping.
