Thanksgiving is officially over.
Leftover turkey has been stuffed into tupperware (enough for sandwiches for the next week), stuffing has been eaten to the last bread crumb, spilled cranberry sauce has been mopped up, family has departed and extra pumpkin pie has been inhaled.
But what to do with the pumpkin bits left from the pie-making process?
I say turn it into a homemade pumpkin foot scrub!
Here’s what you need:
1/4 cup of cooked pumpkin
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of almond or olive oil
1 tablespoon of ground coffee beans
Lemon juice from 1/2 a lemon
Here’s what to do:
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Then put in a little elbow grease and scrub away dry patches! The brown sugar is a fantastic exfoliator, as are the natural enzymes in the pumpkin, plus the lemon juice is a natural preservative.
Happy post-Thanksgiving — and happy shopping this Black Friday!
