For a generation hellbent on instant gratification, online shopping is quickly becoming the norm when having to buy presents for one’s self or others.
Thanks to major e-tailers like Shopbop.com, Zappos.com, Yoox.com, Bluefly.com and Makeup.com, fashion and beauty junkies can shop for Marc by Marc Jacobs dresses, Gucci riding boots and Ole Henriksen scrubs in pajamas — no need to go through the pain of having the dress up in order to avoid shopping discrimination, a la Julia Roberts in ‘Pretty Woman’.
Fulfilling your favorite beauty junkie’s holiday wish list — even if it means it’s your own — is going to be easier than ever this 2008.

In my line of work, attending events, store openings, galas and shopping soirees is part of the required job description.
Come holiday season, invitation arrivals go into overdrive, flooding my email inbox (who uses snail mail anymore?) and packing the iCal event bubbles in my MacBook.
It gets increasingly difficult to turn down a glass or three of champagne after a hard day’s work of thinking and typing, not to mention refusing the delicious finger foods and canapes circling of shiny silver trays held by beautiful people.
More often than not, champagne and canapes turn into a late evening and a bout of stunted sleep.
Thank god HollywoodSecrets 5 Minute Eye Transformation ($89.95) is my new best friend.

Your average male is oddly secretive when it comes to fashion and beauty.
Men go through great lengths to ensure you don’t find out they flip through your glossy magazines (likely reading up on those Cosmo tips!) and rifle through your beauty arsenal when you’re not around, but if they happen to be over and need some hair product, they’ll sheepishly ask. The best thing to do, in this case, is provide them with a wee arsenal of their own.
My recommendation is to go with Every Man Jack, an afforable, male-conscious range of products — for hair, body, skin and shave — made in the great NoCal city of San Francisco.

Holidays are an equally joyous and stressful time, a time when families and friends gather together to share good laughs, good food, good memories and — sometimes — a good, heated debate.
Stress is often high on the list for those who host holiday dinners and soirees, with all the running around, cleaning, food preparation, serving and entertaining. Time is of the essence and is rather scarce when basting turkeys, blending mashed potatoes and baking candied yams.
Here are turkey cooking instructions and tips so that you have just enough time before everyone arrives to dip into your Too Faced eye shadow, sweep on your Cargo blush and brush on your Borghese mascara.
