Klum As You Are

Heidi Klum makeup collection with Victoria's Secret Celebrity designers are a bit old hat these days, whether it be a celeb launching their own line (like Fetish by Eve) or a celeb teaming up with an already-established label (Rachel Bilson with DNKY).

A road a little less traveled is the celebrity makeup line — the only ones I can think of off the bat are Mary Kate and Ashley for Claire’s Accessories and Stuff by Hilary Duff for mass retailers (think Wal-Mart and JC Penney).

Leave it to model, supermom, television host, skivvies schiller and branding machine Heidi Klum to team up with long-time employer Victoria’s Secret for “The Heidi Klum Collection” for the brand’s Very Sexy Makeup line, the new collection which she debuted at the Grove in Los Angeles last week.

Shake Your Bod

Bod organic skin care Australia Living a raucous, fast city existence is kind of what happens to single city gals in their (ahem) twenties — after all, it’s the only time you’ll be able to work hard and play hard with slim to none inklings of regret.

This said “raucous” lifestyle usually consists of a full day’s work (mine being in front of my MacbBook for most of it), evening events (yesterday it was a store opening) and potentially post-shindig beverages. Then comes the weekend, fueled by dinner, girls’ nights out and Sunday eggs benny brunches followed by a lazy Sunday afternoon.

I almost don’t want to think of what kind of trauma us young professional ladies put our bodies through living the fun life, but maybe — just maybe — its effects can be counteracted with holistic body products touting aromatherapy and naturopathy goodness.

Oil Field

Most women spend time and money trying to get rid of slick spots on their face, especially in the dreaded t-zone.

Translucent powders, blotting papers and matte lotions make the short list of makeup bag must-haves for this slippery issue. But we’re beginning to learn that not all oils are bad — in fact, beauty editors are going postal over Tamanu oil (dubbed “Sacred Oil” by locals), a traditional ingredient from tamanu tree nuts in the South Pacific.

Lush Expands Their Line

Lush is that UK beauty company where you get to cut off a chunk of natural soap from a block in the amount you want and get fizzy bath bombs while you’re at it, too.

B Wise

Two of my favorite things in the whole wide world to put in my stomach are peppermint tea and guacamole.

Who says I can’t treat my hair with the same goodies? Well, sort of anyway.

Low, Medium, High: Bronzers

Bronzer is a beauty product that applies (or is applied) year-round.

It works in the spring/summer season because it gives shimmer to a sun-kissed face, and it is necessary in the fall/winter season because it gives color to a deathly pale, vitamin D-deprived skin. And we, by nature and a wee bit of vanity, want to continually emulate a complexion of the sun-kissed variety.
