Celebrity designers are a bit old hat these days, whether it be a celeb launching their own line (like Fetish by Eve) or a celeb teaming up with an already-established label (Rachel Bilson with DNKY).
A road a little less traveled is the celebrity makeup line — the only ones I can think of off the bat are Mary Kate and Ashley for Claire’s Accessories and Stuff by Hilary Duff for mass retailers (think Wal-Mart and JC Penney).
Leave it to model, supermom, television host, skivvies schiller and branding machine Heidi Klum to team up with long-time employer Victoria’s Secret for “The Heidi Klum Collection” for the brand’s Very Sexy Makeup line, the new collection which she debuted at the Grove in Los Angeles last week.

Female gamers, unite!
The Japanese are always, always one step ahead when it comes to technology and the video games that go along with it. Shiseido and Sega — two of the biggest S’s in the Land of the Rising Sun — teamed up to create Project Beauty, a game for Nintendo DS that allows users to scan digital images into the handheld console. These digital images are then categorized into four categories — cute, active, cool and feminine — after which tips and step-by-step instructions are given to the user on how to achieve different makeup looks.

Lifetime is just killing it with the fashion-slash-beauty reality shows.
In addition to snatching Project Runway from Bravo, Lifetime is running a six-episode reality series on the web called Blush: The Search for America’s Greatest Makeup Artist this November. The premise is the same as Project Runway: contestants, judges, challenges and host.
