For red carpet events, she often prefers dramatic eyes with lush lashes and pale, pretty lips — I have yet to see her don a bright shade of rouge lipstick instead of a pearly gloss. The thing about this power woman is that she wasn’t androgynous; she was still sexy, feminine and vampy as ever, and this feeling was probably a result of the red lips models sported down the runway of Jack and Lazaro. I’m really noticing that for Spring ‘09 most designers and makeup artists are agreeing that the thing to do is highlight one part of the face, whether it be eyes or lips, while keeping everything else clean and minimal.
