Tom Ford launched a line of limited-edition wick burners to his acclaimed Private Blend Collection, a set of 12 unisex scents. Don’t expect girly smells like lavender and grass here — this set wafts of Oud Wood, Tobacco Vanille, Noir de Noir and Neroli Portofino. The candles burn each release one of Tom’s blends into any room you like with the strike of a match (or flick of a Bic). The product line, influenced by the lifestyle of Ms. Cousteau and full of fermented, sustainably-harvested algae extracts, relaunched at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills last week, and its marine muse turned up to give her blessing. For every product from the collection sold, one euro is donated to the Jacques Cousteau-founded Ocean Futures Society.
