The curl has to be the curliest it can go and each lash has to be darkened as dramatically as possible with the mascara brand I’m obsessing over at that moment (read: Maybelline’s The Colossal Volum Express in Glam Black). I’ve spent my money on shu uemura and Shiseido eyelash curlers, and even more dollar bills on eyelash primers. Yup, I wasn’t lying when I said eyelash nazi. The Japanese are always, always one step ahead when it comes to technology and the video games that go along with it. Shiseido and Sega — two of the biggest S’s in the Land of the Rising Sun — teamed up to create Project Beauty, a game for Nintendo DS that allows users to scan digital images into the handheld console. These digital images are then categorized into four categories — cute, active, cool and feminine — after which tips and step-by-step instructions are given to the user on how to achieve different makeup looks.
