I swear the biggest reasons that one of the popular girls in my high school was popular was because of her perfectly angled cat’s-eye, drawn on daily with liquid liner.
I’ll admit, she looked great, but the liquid liner was a little too dramatic for my liking.
Fast forward years later to now, when thoughts of cat’s-eye makeup effects for the holidays and New Year’s Eve seem like a really, really good idea.
Thanks to POP Beauty’s Cat Eyes Automatic Pencil (which was a gift!), I can give myself the look in a less dramatic way because the brand’s pencil is a easy-to-draw-on kohl, not steadfast liquid, so if you make a big boo-boo of a mistake, it’s quite easily fixable. Plus, these angled pencils give you more control over how high or long you want that cat-eye.

No one else defines edgy, low-key downtown style the way Erin Wasson does, simply by being Erin.
The bicoastal skater girl-turned-model-turned-stylist-turned-designer has gone from mugging for squeaky clean Maybelline cosmetics to styling designer it-boy Alexander Wang’s Fall ‘08 runway, designing her LowLuv jewelry line, starring with Justin Timberlake in his “I Am William Rast” ad campaign and co-designing a highly-anticipated collection with skate lifestyle brand RVCA.
Cutoff shorts, chunky flat boots, feather headdresses, oversized blazers, men’s tees, carefree hair, enviable accessories, smokey voice, beanies and black define Wasson’s personal style, something that has since been well-documented across the hippest of hip fashion sites (Style.com), blogs (Fashion Toast) and magazines (NYLON).

The end of October is slowly creeping up, meaning November is almost here.
This, in turn, means holiday season has begun and invitations to parties and Christmas company gatherings are stamped, in the mail and in need of your RSVP. Holiday soirees are best for swilling free Dom or Veuve, wearing that sparkly new LBD and, of course, debuting a fabulous hairdo.
That’s where Chris Funk comes in.

Kate Moss is a style icon.
She was the one who brought skinny jeans tucked into pirate boots to the style masses, and her ensemble choices are fervently watched by chicettes from here to the other side of the pond.

Fashion and beauty are the Bobbsey Twins of aesthetics.
There are supermodels masterminding the colors of eyeshadow palettes (Daria Werbowy for Lancome) and beauty companies enlisting style icons to pump up their lines for the masses (Cory Kennedy for Urban Decay).
