Gwyneth Paltrow officially added the title of blogger to her portfolio. The Oscar-winning actress, yoga-junkie and macrobiotic diet-eater just launched a lifestyle website called Goop, encouraging everyone to “nourish the inner aspect”. Gwyneth the Guru?
David Yurman formally launched his eponymous eau du parfum at Sak’s Fifth Aveue in New York on Tuesday night. The florally-woodsy scent is a suitable alternative for the Yurman devotee who can’t afford to drop $1,700 on his Pave Tahitian Pearl Ring.

What is seen on runways of Fashion Week often ends up trickling into other related facets, like art, music, decor and beauty.
Since we’re currently in full Fashion Week mode, having gone from New York to London and now to Milan, there is a lot of inspiration coming from the catwalks of Marc by Marc Jacobs, Chris Benz, Vivienne Westwood and Just Cavalli in terms of color for Spring ‘09.

Emma Watson, the 18-year-old actress who plays Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter franchise, sat front row at the Giles Deacon show at London Fashion Week, her sophisticated look and chic manner belying her younger years.
And I couldn’t stop staring at her perfectly rich red pucker, wondering how to achieve the same cranberry color without rubbing the tart fruit itself all over my lips.

You know how it goes.
The alarm screeches in your air come morning and you rather stupidly decide to snooze for just a few more minutes, minutes that somehow turn into an hour, leaving zilch time to hop into the shower. Baseball caps and straw fedoras are a faux pas at the office, so what’s a girl to do with matted hair and greasy bangs?

Proenza Schouler went from safari last spring to 80s power woman this coming Spring ‘09, going a tough gal route in big shoulders and high-waisted pants.
The thing about this power woman is that she wasn’t androgynous; she was still sexy, feminine and vampy as ever, and this feeling was probably a result of the red lips models sported down the runway of Jack and Lazaro. I’m really noticing that for Spring ‘09 most designers and makeup artists are agreeing that the thing to do is highlight one part of the face, whether it be eyes or lips, while keeping everything else clean and minimal.

If there was a show to be seen this weekend, it was Alexander Wang.
The energetic, wunderkind designer brought all types out, from model-designer best friend Erin Wasson to the Queen E (as in editrix) of American Vogue, Anna Wintour, who attended his presentation for the first time.
