Fall ‘09 was no different in terms of gorgeous clothing from Herrera. While her pieces were wonderfully detailed, she opted to keep her models in youthful makeup (think flushed cheeks and sheer orange eye shadow). Where the likes of Lily Donaldson, Lakshmi Menon, Liu Wen, Tanya D, Olga Sherer, Toni Garrn, Natasha Poly and Kasia Struss lacked in bold makeup was made up in bold hair accessories, with bobby pins embellished with metallic flowers holding together low chignons.
Carolina Herrera wasn’t the only one adorning manes in one way or another.

Q: My hair feels like it’s gained a hefty 10 pounds. After all the leave-in conditioners, high-gloss serums, waxes, mousse and hairspray I use constantly week after week, my mane is getting weighed down. How do I make it light, bouncy and shiny again? This product gunk has to go.
A: Two words: clarifying shampoo. Believe [...]

Aveeno is creator of the one face wash that has never let me down: their Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser.

Now here’s a name that gets less and less used in tabloids these days: Paris Hilton.
The peroxide blonde heiress is one the last the get on the bobbed hair train — a look that is on its way out, by the way, being replaced by extensions again — but get on the train she did.

Remember Daisy Fuentes?
The one-time MTV veejay and television show host was huge, huge, huge in the late nineties and early 2000s — she was kind of like the poor man’s Cindy Crawford, with really good hair.

Cold weather equals dry hands — hand cream is my best friend right now.
Cold weather also happens to equal split ends. Terrible, terrible split ends so long and deep, a haircut is often required to get rid of the problem.
Or at least a pair of trimming scissors to use during Gossip Girl commercials breaks.
