New Yorkers in search of a pretty new smell might want to make a trip to Bergdorf Goodman tonight apres the office.
Catherine Barber and Annette Williams will giving out their two-cents at the Cafe on the beauty level of the luxe department store from 6 pm to 8 pm, telling woman which Donna Karan fragrances (including the original Donna Karan Signature scent, Chaos, Fuel for Men, Black Cashmere and the Donna Karan Essence Collection) best suit their personality through using a host of colors, sounds and images.
Think of it as a sort of tarot card session, only you’ll be learning about smells, rather than the current state of your relationship union (or un-union).

When it comes to the consumption of anything, women of the new millenium have scores of choices, but very little time to make them.
Who has time to juggle a career, significant other, possibly children, yoga class, picking up dry cleaning and cleaning house, while deciding on which cleanser and exfoliator are best to take the day’s grime off with?
Suki makes that crucial choice that much easier for you: Suki Lemongrass Cleanser (Suki Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser). This product is rated 5/5 with over 22 reviews.

The natural, unblemished youthfulness of Courtney Cox is questionable at best, at least to me anyway.
Cox, who is surprisingly unlined despite her age creeping up there, has been the face of skin care brand Kinerase for the past few years and just signed up with Avon to hawk their new scent, Spotlight. This olfactory blend is a fresh oriental, meaning mandarin, sandalwood, vanilla and Italian bergamot, confected by IFF perfumer Monique Remy.
Her reason for joining Avon?
“(Avon) truly celebrates and empowers women and this fragrance captures that essence – that all women are in the spotlight in their own unique ways and this fragrance highlights the excitement and the exhilaration of that feeling,” says the former “Friends” star.

When it comes to color, Pantone usually has the final say.
It appears the color of the year for 2009 is mimosa, as in not the alcoholic beverage preferred by ladies that brunch, but an orange-hued yellow bright enough to sear a cornea.
Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, says, “The colour yellow exemplifies the warmth and nurturing quality of the sun, properties we as humans are naturally drawn to for reassurance. Mimosa also speaks to enlightenment, as it is a hue that sparks imagination and innovation.”

Jemma Kidd is all grown up.
The London-based makeup artist, wife of an earl (making her a countess) and sister of model Jodie Kidd is moving past her drugstore roots and is entering a higher echelon of cosmetics by bidding goodbye to UK retailer Boots and moving into Space NK.
Adding to her Jemma Kidd Make Up School line, the blonde beauty launched her Skin-Intelligents range yesterday, in conjunction with announcing her retailer move.

Prince — the man who invented purple rain and made doves cry — is currently on the run from his fragrance licensee Revelations.
It was stipulated in the singer’s contract that he would do public appearances for his upcoming fragrance 3121, but Prince has gone into hiding and is now being sued by Revelations for $100,000 for breach of contract. His face doesn’t appear on any of the 3121 packaging, either.

Amanda Lepore, the one-time transsexual muse of former club kid label Heatherette, is striking out on her own without the help of Richie Rich or Traver Rains.
Just in time for happy Holiday ‘08, Lepore is launching a namesake fragrance called Amanda by Amanda Lepore with famed perfumer, Christophe Laudamiel. The scent is supposed to remind its wearer of the transsexual icon’s curves and signature red lips through strawberry, woods, yellow mandarin and — of course — Cristal champagne.

HSN, America’s biggest home shopping network, signed former model Carol Alt to launch a new skincare line called RAW Essentials By Carol Alt.
The 48-year old model, perpetual entrepreneur and author (check out her books “Eating In The Raw” and “The Raw 50″) follows a strict raw food diet after fighting a bout with uterine cancer, and the range is based on that particular live food practice. RAW’s products are devoid of synthetic preservatives and are manufactured at low temperatures, so its natural ingredients (like tamanu oil, aloe vera and soy proteins) keep their quality and benefits.

Lisa Price started off her beauty product brand Carol’s Daughter while working on The Cosby Show set back in the 1980s, dabbling in mixing organic ingredients like sweet jojoba, almonds and soy in her downtime.
A few years later, it turned into a mail-order and online business in the 90s, eventually going the way of brick and mortar in 1999 with a store in Brooklyn. One store then turned into another in Harlem, then turned into a deal with Sephora to sell Carol’s Daughter.
