On Wednesday, the streets of New York in Herald Square, Union Square and SoHo were dotted with Lush Cosmetics staffers wearing little aprons with the slogan, “Ask me why I’m naked” and not much else.
Lifetime is just killing it with the fashion-slash-beauty reality shows.
In addition to snatching Project Runway from Bravo, Lifetime is running a six-episode reality series on the web called Blush: The Search for America’s Greatest Makeup Artist this November. The premise is the same as Project Runway: contestants, judges, challenges and host.
Fabien Baron is a French-born art director, fashion photographer and product designer, not only works on the aesthetics of Interview magazine, but also creates ads for Calvin Klein (he’s the mastermind behind the controversial Eva Mendes TV spots), Armani, Prada, and Burberry, as well as collaborated with Madonna on her book Sex, designed the newest bottle for Corzo Tequila and served as mentor to Julia Restoin-Roitfeld.

CVS Pharmacy is really amping up their beauty counters.
In fact, those beauty counters are turning into full-size product emporiums called Beauty 360. Each location will be filled with brands and products you only usually see in department or specialty stores, and the plan is to give similar concepts like Sephora and Ulta a run for their money.
Bobbi Brown — star makeup artist, owner of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and creator of the best ever Shimmer Lip Gloss (I personally went through three tubes of the Nude shade in four months) — is also apparently a staunch democrat.

Paul Starr, celebrated makeup artist to the A-list set, was found dead at 48-years-old on Tuesday at his apartment in Los Angeles.

Concern for his well-being hit a high when Starr hadn’t been seen or heard from in several days. His body was discovered after the front door was broken down. The cause of death is still unknown.

Brad Pitt is lending his philanthropic magic and environmental-consciousness to Kiehl’s Since 1851, makers of that fabulous wrinkle-busting Abyssine Cream and luscious, SPF-deflecting Lip Balm #1.
The handsome actor and father-of-six is lending his name to the Kiehl’s Aloe Vera Biodegradable Liquid Body Cleanser, which hits shelves this coming October and is eco-friendly from the cleanser itself to the packaging.
