Cold weather equals dehydrated hands, both of which I’d rather be without.
Unfortunately, I can’t control the weather and I can’t fully control the moisture level of my epidermis, but what I can do is try to regulate the latter.
The top two brands in my cream team? That’s easy: L’Occitane and Kiehl’s.

Throw the words “limited-edition” in front of the word “collection” if you want to see a mad scramble of ladies hot-footing it to the nearest luxe department store or it-boutique.
Limited-edition collections for makeup usually get released to the consumptive market around fall and holiday seasons because, quite simply, they make great gifts for someone, not to mention for yourself.

Two of my favorite things in the whole wide world to put in my stomach are peppermint tea and guacamole.
Who says I can’t treat my hair with the same goodies? Well, sort of anyway.

Chantecaille is a cosmetics company for the flush folk and those who don’t mind dropping upwards of $80 for an eye shadow palette.
For Fall ‘08, the brand unveiled its new colors for their signature Shadow and the Rose palette ($79), which comes with two pearlescent eye shadow shades (mauve and deep brown-purple) and one complementary cheek color (peachy nude). Each color is embossed with Chantecaille’s signature rose, making it nearly impossible to want to use the palette for fear of messing it up.

I confess, I confess.
I’m completely neurotic when it comes to my hair. If a strand is out of place or if a wave isn’t swirled properly, yours truly might very well have a conniption fit. It’s sad, yes, but also sadly true.

Emma Watson, the 18-year-old actress who plays Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter franchise, sat front row at the Giles Deacon show at London Fashion Week, her sophisticated look and chic manner belying her younger years.
And I couldn’t stop staring at her perfectly rich red pucker, wondering how to achieve the same cranberry color without rubbing the tart fruit itself all over my lips.

Viktor & Rolf, fashion’s avant-garde Dutch darlings, teamed up with Shu Uemura’s Tokyo Lash Bar 2008 for its “Couture Collection”, with the bespectacled designers coming up with three sets of luxurious falsies made for bold catwalk, drag and drama queens.

I paid a visit to my local beauty counter today in search of a bronzer that could keep my fleeting tan from fading.
The lovely girl who helped me — made even more lovely with her French accent — took me through the usual suspects, like BeneFit and Make Up For Ever, before introducing me to Dior’s Bronze Sun Powder Spray. She pulled the can off its display, sprayed the product onto a bronzing brush and swept it onto the inside of my wrist to test out the color.

You know how it goes.
The alarm screeches in your air come morning and you rather stupidly decide to snooze for just a few more minutes, minutes that somehow turn into an hour, leaving zilch time to hop into the shower. Baseball caps and straw fedoras are a faux pas at the office, so what’s a girl to do with matted hair and greasy bangs?

I’m a sucker for pretty presentation, as most consumers are.
If you had to choose between lip gloss in a plain brown box or lip gloss in a sleek black box with semi-holographical patterns and visually arresting typography, it’s not had to decide which on you’ll plunk down a visa for.
