no such thing as a "shut off valve" - Review by
this gloss is a mess! the "shut off valve" doesnt work at all...it took it out of my purse to find that the cap was so full of gless it leaked out the sides. it stinks because I loved the color I bought but its such a mess I cant wear it anymore.

Cargo gloss is one of my favorites because there is no fragrance and it isn't sticky. I'm particular about what I put on my lips and if I can feel it or taste it then I won't wear it. As far as the dispenser and "shut-off" valve for this product, I love the simplicity of the design. I hate those glosses where I have to keep twisting and waiting, twisting and waiting then maybe I'll get the right amount of gloss or maybe it'll come pouring out the top and I've just wasted some very expensive product. This is designed so you can squeeze only the amount you want and unlike the previous review suggests the "shut-off" occurs when you screw the cap in place. The pressure of the tight cap locks in the air so nothing will squeeze out thus no mess. Now if you are going to throw your gloss in the bottom of a full purse where it's going to get knocked around and lose it's cap then this is probably not the gloss for you. However if you keep it in small make up case or in the side zip compartment of your bag then I think you'll find it will become one of your favorites. My only problem is that they don't make enough color choices in this purse gloss style. I love the brownish/reds in their "Santa Ana", "Machu Picchu" and "Bora Bora" gloss duos however they don't make any of those colors in this purse gloss.
