Charlotte Willer and Maybelline's Big Debut on "The City!"

Did everyone catch last night's episode of The City? Charlotte Willer, our very own expert and Maybelline New York's global MUA, appeared in the show alongside Denise Quattrochi from Maybelline. And their clip was shot right here in the Maybelline offices! The two ladies invited Whitney Port in for a consultation with Charlotte to see about Maybelline possibly sponsoring her clothing line, Whitney Eve, during Miami Fashion Week. Whit described her fall collection as "feminine cocktail wear [for] the motivated career girl who can also glam it up and accessorize at night." Charlotte's translation for a makeup look? We'll have to wait until next week's episode to find out! I'm having some technical difficulties downloading the clip from the show, but here's a link to the full episode (Charlotte and Denise's appearance starts around the 7:20 mark): Two things that caught my attention during their clip: 1) Charlotte's gorg red lip color. Who says you can't wear red lipstick to work? She showed how well it can work if you pair it with a neutral outfit like her all-black ensemble and clean, natural makeup. For daytime, I like Maybelline New York Color Sensational Lipcolor in Very Cherry, a bright red. I swipe it on just in the center of my bottom lip, press my lips together, then pat it around the rest of my mouth with my finger for a stain of vibrant color. 2) Whitney's neon lime pants. These I take issue with for the office. Or anywhere, for that matter, with the exception of perhaps a retirement home in Palm Beach. But Whitney's so darn adorable that somehow she still managed to look cute. Tune in to The City next Tuesday, June 15th, when Charlotte and Denise help Whitney create the makeup look for her Miami runway show. We're guessing it's going to be playful—as Denise said to Whitney in last night's episode, "How can you not have fun with makeup?" PHOTO FROM MTV.COM
