Go Girly This Weekend with MDC's em Palette

If you’ve been keeping up with MDC this week, you know we can’t get enough of Michelle Phan’s new makeup line, em. As Phan put it in her MDC interview, “em is a reflection of me,” and it’s meant to celebrate the unique beauty of real women everywhere. As if we weren’t excited enough about em’s life palettes—check them out and enter for a chance to win one here—Team MDC also had the opportunity to create our own Makeup.com em Palette (you may have spotted it on our Instagram earlier this week)!

Since we made our custom palette (you can too!), we could barely keep our paws off it. So we enlisted Ashley Rebecca to exercise her cosmetic talent and create a girly, everyday look for us. Here’s how to get the look, showcased on the mug of yours truly.

Eyes

To create this feminine, smoky eye, Ashley started by applying our lightest, cream shadow (shade 'creme') over the entirety of the lid. Next, she applied the champagne shimmer shadow ('girlie') from the lashline to the brow bone. To add dimension and drama, Ashley blended our two brown shadows ('french toast' and 'things to do') into the crease, and then finished with a swipe of black liquid liner, topped with the darkest black shadow ('original sin') on top.

Skin

For a smooth, fresh-faced look, Ashley applied Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation with a foundation brush (here’s her guide to flawless foundation application if you missed it) and dusted our shimmery em blush ('pink whisper') as a highlighter on the cheekbones.

Lips

To top it off, we combined our two lipstick hues ('wow pink' and 'bold statement') to one perfectly girly pink.
