John Masters' care with organic ingredients is legendary, but the really wonderful thing about this shampoo is that it doesn't strip and dry my fragile winter hair! It has an unusual herbal smell and a dark, rich, honey-like color, but don't let these throw you--it still lathers luxuriously and does great things for hair. I only gave it four stars because I had a little bit of frizziness the next day, but this is probably because I didn't use any conditioner afterward. For a penny-pinching chick like me this shampoo was a splurge, but I loved it.
