All You Need for Fourth of July Beauty

Who doesn’t love the Fourth of July? We can’t decide what makes us more excited: barbecues, fireworks on the beach or the festive American flag-inspired attire. Maybe it’s all of the above! Whatever your plans for the Fourth might be, we want to make sure you are properly prepped, MDC style. Here’s our roundup of the makeup, hair and nail essentials that will have you looking pretty and patriotic (OK, mostly pretty) for Independence Day. Happy Fourth of July from MDC!

4th beauty

Hair Light up any Fourth party with a lovely-but-simple summer ’do. Since poolside barbecues or beach bonfires are the norm for this laid-back holiday, we suggest keeping it casual with some natural beach waves, a fun braided crown or a messy bun. Independence Day is all about celebrating freedom and life and, most importantly, our natural selves!

Makeup Rock the “All-American” look for this holiday ladies! Keep skin dewy and fresh and your cheeks fabulously flushed. Go for a pop of color on the pout with a sassy red to complement the traditional red-white-and-blue color scheme. If you’re really feeling patriotic, throw on a bold blue lid to go with!

Nails While Fourth of July makeup and hair call for simple and understated looks, the nail segment is the one area that allows you to go all out and take your patriotism to new heights. Whether you do a sparkly, be-dazzled masterpiece, a play off of fireworks or flag-inspired digits, get into the spirit and have fun with your mani.

Skin We hate to be the skincare police, but we have to go there. Chances are, you are going to be getting a lot of sun on the Fourth and this is our friendly reminder to keep the sunscreen on at all times. Make sure you reapply throughout the day and keep your sunglasses on!
