The 4th of July Makeup Look That Has Us Seeing Fireworks

If you’re like us, you’re all about a good theme party. Anything to inspire a fresh, unique look that you wouldn’t normally wear on a day-to-day basis. Well, with its red, white and blue color scheme and firework-spackled backdrop, any Fourth of July shindig is a festive, themed occasion. That being said, you should plan your look accordingly. To help you get the ball rolling, we enlisted the help of Alana Dawn to put together a dynamite makeup look that is sure to set off some fireworks.

Happy Fourth of July from the team here at Makeup.com!

Fourth of July Eye Makeup

Step 1: Apply a Shimmery Shadow

Prime the eyes with an eye primer. Apply a shimmery rose shadow all over the lid. Blend the color out so it extends past the crease.

Step 2: Highlight Your Eyes

Take a powder or liquid highlighter and apply to the inner corners of the eyes. Blend it gently toward the middle of the lid.

Step 3: Apply Blue Mascara

Finish the eye look with a lengthening black mascara on the top lashes. On the bottom lashes, apply several coats of a bright blue mascara. To make the color pop, try priming the lashes with mascara primer.

Step 4: Go for Glowing Skin

Apply an illuminating foundation or BB cream all over the face. If you're looking for even more glow, dust highlighter on the cheekbones, nose, brow bone and Cupid's bow.

Step 5: Apply Red Lipstick

Top the look off with a cherry-red matte lipstick.
