A Makeup Artist’s Recipe for the Perfect Makeup Bag
As a professional makeup artist, I know that beautiful makeup is equal parts subtly and enhancement. No matter what the occasion, your look should always complement your natural beauty and let your features shine. To achieve this, you’ll need a handful of essential products. To guide you, here’s my recipe for the perfect makeup bag.
Consider it the product that can sing, dance, and act. Apply cream blush to the eyes as cream shadow, cheeks as blush, and lips as a pop of color. This is one of my favorite products to enhance your features with minimal effort or clean up.
Product Picks:L'Oréal Magic Smooth Soufflé Blush, Stila Convertible Color
1 Part Eye Opening Concealer
You know it’s the best way to cover blemishes and dark circles, but concealer is also a great way to brighten any area of your face that you’d like to highlight (think t-zone or under your eyes). Apply in the morning during your regular makeup routine, and keep it in your bag to touch up throughout the day.
Product picks:Maybelline Instant AgeRewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer, NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
1 Part Perfect-Pout Lip Balm
Lip balms. We collect them like junkies and can't get enough. I consider balms a beauty essential because they keep your lips hydrated and soft, and add a pop of color with no dry flakes in sight (especially necessary if you’re rocking bold lipstick this fall). A product that normally is less than $5 is a miracle in itself, so stock up ladies!
Product Picks:Maybelline Baby Lips, The Body Shop Cranberry Joy Lip Butter
Mix all products as desired and enjoy your deliciously beautiful look.
