Debra Claire

Debra Claire was destined to start Perfect Organics. The daughter of a chemist, Claire was raised in an organic, green household in the San Francisco Bay Area and spent much of her childhood in labs observing natural product formulations. After graduating with a degree in fine arts from the University of Maryland, Claire worked as a commercial make-up artist whereupon she was exposed to conventional products full of toxic ingredients. Wishing to provide clean, luxurious, organic alternatives to conventional body care products laden with unregulated ingredients, Claire created Perfect Organics.

When Claire envisioned Perfect Organics, she used sustainability as the guiding principle for her creation. She insisted that Perfect Organics be "green from start to finish" and has remained true to her initial vision. Beyond sourcing ethically traded organic ingredients that are extracted and clarified naturally and establishing low impact manufacturing techniques, Claire and the team at Perfect Organics work in an eco-friendly office space and make every effort to maintain a zero-waste environment. Perfect Organics' commitment to environmental stewardship extends beyond their Metro D.C. headquarters. By partnering and collaborating in creative and groundbreaking ways with dedicated and highly reputable international non-profit organizations such as Healthy Child Healthy World, EarthEcho International, and Farm Sanctuary, Perfect Organics serves as an example of a business that values people and the planet as much as profit and works tirelessly to promote the interdependence of the non-profit and for-profit sectors in creating a sustainable economy.
