It’s a SPA-rty! The Perfect Spa-Themed Soirée
If thoughts of planning a party give you hives while visions of a day at the spa put you in your happy place, we’ve got the solution. Combine the party with a spa day! We’ve even taken care of most of the details for you, so all you need to do is follow our guide and enjoy. There may be a little residual stress from organizing this fabulous event, but it’ll even out after you’ve had a sip of our “spiked spa water” and kicked back for manicures and facials with your best girlfriends. We’ve even designed adorable invitations, place cards and a welcome sign you can print out by downloading from the links below.
Decorations. Decorate your space with plenty of plush towels, flowers and candles. Keep it simple so that it feels fresh and relaxing, just like your favorite spa. Note that the candles near the food should be unscented, but a luxuriously scented candle like the Diptyque “Baies” candle will bring that spa-like feeling to any area where food is not present. Post our downloadable welcome sign on the door to let guests know where to go!
Refreshments. Spa water is great and all, but spiked spa water is better. We love this recipe for a cucumber lemon vodka drink from Design*Sponge. It tastes just as refreshing as it looks! Another fun food idea is this Spa Girl Facial Cheeseball from the blog, Hungry Happenings. It is so easy to make and serves as a great conversation starter. For dessert, try a fresh fruit trifle in place of cake — it just feels more fresh and serene. Make sure you print out our place cards to mark each food item and to show your guests where to sit.
Mani and Facial Stations. What spa-themed party is complete without the spa treatments? At each station, set out bowls of warm water, towels and mirrors. Stash your facial station with headbands, face masks, cucumber slices, a great facial moisturizer like Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream, makeup remover and all sorts of fun makeup products. For the mani station, stock up on nail files, cotton balls, nail polish remover, a soothing hand lotion like The Body Shop’s Cocoa Butter Hand & Body Lotion, cuticle oil and all of your favorite nail polishes.
