The cold damp quality of the winter season and shorter days tend to make the body feel slowed down and the mind run deep. Spring is a time to get moving and engage in things that break you out of your cocoon.
Days are getting longer, try and meet the day at sunrise. Start or restart that exercise program you promised yourself at the beginning of the year. Join a yoga studio, a gym or a walking group. Exercising with others gives support and motivation. Turn off the TV and focus on your personal goal,
make lists and get organized, it is a time for new beginnings. Keep warm and dry but get out more, especially on bright days, this is important food for the soul. Rev up the music in your life, dance, sing and celebrate more. Buy yourself some new clothes and go for bright colors in the red, orange, yellow and green range. Nature is busting out in color follow her lead. Try a sauna or any spa treatment that heats and mobilizes the body. This is a classic way to move toxins and fat out of the body and feel like a spring lamb. Go for more stimulating massage or a deep cleansing facial. Consider a short fast or gently intestinal cleanse. Reach out to friends and family. The dark days of winter are behind us so don?t let any feelings of loneliness or depression linger.
